HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT BLACK CONTACT LENSES

If you're shopping online:

  • Once you've selected a style (e.g. Style A), ask the staff to show you 3–4 additional customer photos wearing that exact lens, including close-up shots of the eyes. This helps you visualize the lens more accurately before purchasing.

  • Clearly inform the staff of your natural eye color (e.g. light brown or dark brown), as lenses appear brighter on lighter eyes.

  • Let them know whether you prefer lenses with more visible patterns or a more minimal look.

  • Provide your prescription details, including nearsightedness and astigmatism (if applicable), so the staff can recommend suitable options—some lenses may not be available with prescription.

If you're shopping in-store:

Let the staff know:

  • Whether you prefer lenses with a strong pattern or subtle design.

  • Your prescription, including any astigmatism, so they can help you choose the right product.

You can also request to see the lenses tested on a demo eye model to preview how they look. (Please note: trial lenses should never be worn directly on your eyes.)

How to Choose Contact Lens Size That Fits Your Eyes

Whether the lens enlarges your eyes or not depends entirely on the GRAPHIC DIA. You don't need to worry too much about the DIA of the lens because this part is simply a soft, clear plastic piece. ☺️

👁️ Each of us has different eye sizes (the whole eye) and pupil sizes (the black part of the eye).

If you have medium to large eyes but a small pupil:

👉 You should use lenses with a G.DIA of 13.9 or above to balance your eye size and pupil.

If you have small eyes or want the lens to fit your pupil snugly for a natural look:

👉 You should use lenses with a G.DIA between 12.8 and 13.3. If you use lenses with a G.DIA that's too large, the white part of your eye will be covered, making your eyes look unnatural.

If you have average-sized eyes and pupils:

👉 Easy! You can use any lens size, depending on your preferences.

If you have a large pupil:

👉 Use lenses with a G.DIA of 13.8 or above to avoid the black pupil showing.

If you want your eyes to look more baby-like and the lens to enlarge beyond your pupil:

👉 Lenses with a DIA and Graphic DIA ranging from 14.5 to 15.0 will meet this need.

HOW TO WEAR LENSES

The most detailed guide on wearing contact lenses from an eye care expert:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the lenses.

  2. Open the lens case and add fresh contact lens solution to it.

  3. Open the lens vial and place the lens into the case. For first-time use, soak the lenses for 4-6 hours before wearing to remove any remaining preservatives.

  4. Apply eye drops to disinfect and remove any dust before and after wearing the lenses.

  5. Before wearing, gently shake the lens to avoid water droplets. Place the lens on the tip of your index finger so that the edges do not touch your skin.

  6. Make sure to identify the correct side of the lens before wearing it.

  7. Use both middle fingers to pull your eyelids apart, then gently place the lens onto your eye while looking upward. Do not move your eyes, focus on a fixed point. The lens will naturally adhere to your pupil.

HOW TO REMOVE CONTACT LENSES

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before removing the lenses.

  2. Before removing the contact lenses, apply 1-2 drops of eye drops in each eye to rehydrate the cornea and the lenses.

  3. If you don't have a contact lens remover tool, wash your hands carefully and avoid letting your nails touch the lens. Only use the pads of your fingers to remove the lens (to prevent scratching your cornea or tearing the lens).

  4. Use your middle fingers to gently pull your eyelids apart. Look upward, and the lens will naturally shift to the lower eyelid.

  5. Use your index finger and thumb to gently pinch the lens and remove it from your eye. Afterward, apply eye drops to disinfect.

  6. Rinse the lens with fresh solution and store it in the lens case with appropriate soaking solution.

Visual Guide for Removing Contact Lenses

  • After removing the lenses, apply 1-2 drops in each eye to rehydrate. At this point, you can also apply any other eye drops as needed.

  • Once the contact lenses are removed, place them immediately into the lens case with fresh soaking solution. You should make it a habit to place each lens in the correct case marked "L" for left or "R" for right. This is especially important for those who wear contact lenses with different prescriptions for each eye.

HOW TO STORE CONTACT LENSES

If you have different prescriptions for each eye, make sure to place the lenses in the correct cases marked L (Left) and R (Right). Simply put each lens in the correct case.

  • When removing the contact lenses from the vial/pack, soak them for at least 4 hours in solution to eliminate any preservatives from the packaging liquid.

  • If your eyes feel irritated, like there is dust in them, immediately change the soaking solution and rinse the lenses thoroughly. You can use a contact lens cleaner machine. However, if you don't have a lens cleaner machine, wash your hands, apply some solution and contact lens to the palm of your hand, then gently rub the lens with your finger to remove any dust.

  • Never wash contact lenses with soap, as it will ruin the lenses.

  • After each wear, change the soaking solution and always keep the solution clean and clear. If dirt accumulates, the lenses can get scratched, making them uncomfortable to wear. Even if you don't wear your lenses every day, make sure to replace the soaking solution every other day to maintain hygiene.
